Corticosterone facilitates fluoxetine-induced neuronal plasticity in the hippocampus.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The hippocampal dentate gyrus has been implicated in a neuronal basis of antidepressant action. We have recently shown a distinct form of neuronal plasticity induced by the serotonergic antidepressant fluoxetine, that is, a reversal of maturation of the ...

18β‐Glycyrrhetinic Acid and a Nano‐Liposomal Formulation Alleviate Depression‐Like Behaviors via the Microglial mTOR‐Autophagy‐NLRP3 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a novel zebrafish‐based inflammatory screening strategy, we screened and identified 18β‐glycyrrhetinic acid (18β‐GA) as a promising anti‐inflammatory candidate. We uncover a microglial mTOR–autophagy–NLRP3 axis that constitutes the mechanistic core of 18β‐GA–mediated neuroprotection.

Deep Brain Stimulation Reduces Conflict‐Related Theta and Error‐Related Negativity in Patients With Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder

open access: yesNeuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface, EarlyView., 2021
Abstract Objectives Obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD) is a psychiatric disorder with alterations of cortico‐striato‐thalamo‐cortical loops and impaired performance monitoring. Electrophysiological markers such as conflict‐related medial frontal theta (MFT) and error‐related negativity (ERN) may be altered by clinically effective deep brain ...

Electrochemical Hofmann Rearrangement for Modular Synthesis of Unsymmetrical Ureas and Late‐Stage Modification of Drugs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An electrochemical Hofmann rearrangement of amide involving amine or other amide nucleophiles has been developed. The use of NaI guarantees the feasibility and compatibility of the electrosynthesis protocol, which enables highly chemoselective synthesis of unsymmetrical N‐acylureas from two different amides, as well as the production of unsymmetrical ...

The role of harms and burdens in clinical practice guidelines: Lessons learned from the American Psychological Association's guideline development

open access: yesClinical Psychology: Science and Practice, EarlyView., 2020
Abstract Growing evidence supports the efficacy of various psychosocial interventions yet provides very little information about the potential harms and burdens of treatment. Lacking such information makes it difficult to make truly informed decisions about treatment options.
