Liants anhydres de répandage ou d’enrobage : la route se met au vert

open access: yesOléagineux, Corps gras, Lipides, 2005
Since 1996, Appia has developped a new generation of fluxes for bitumen. Vegetable Oil Methyl Ester were chosen because of their ability to thin these binders.

Flux-balance modelling of plant metabolism

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2011
Flux-balance modelling of plant metabolic networks provides an important complement to 13C-based metabolic flux analysis. Flux-balance modelling is a constraints-based approach in which steady-state fluxes in a metabolic network are predicted by using ...

Flux compactification

open access: yesReviews of Modern Physics, 2007
We review recent work in which compactifications of string and M theory are constructed in which all scalar fields (moduli) are massive, and supersymmetry is broken with a small positive cosmological constant, features needed to reproduce real world physics.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Flux transport and tail dynamics during a prolonged substorm interval [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present multi-point observations of a substorm which took place on 29 August 2004. The near-Earth magnetotail dynamics were observed by Cluster C1 and Double Star TC1, in conjunction with observations of the Northern Hemisphere ionospheric convection ...

Application of Stable Isotope-Assisted Metabolomics for Cell Metabolism Studies

open access: yesMetabolites, 2014
The applications of stable isotopes in metabolomics have facilitated the study of cell metabolisms. Stable isotope-assisted metabolomics requires: (1) properly designed tracer experiments; (2) stringent sampling and quenching protocols to minimize ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Solar flux emergence : a three-dimensional numerical study

open access: yes, 2008
Flux is continually emerging on the Sun, making its way from the solar interior up into the atmosphere. Emergence occurs on small-scales in the quiet Sun where magnetic fragments emerge, interact and cancel and on large-scales in active regions where ...

Digestate Application Methods and Rates with Regard to Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Crop Conditions

open access: yesAgronomy
Digestate is commonly used as a liquid organic fertilizer, as it contains nutrients that are important for plant growth and thus help reduce usage of mineral fertilizers.
