NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

MiR‐940 Suppresses Ferroptosis by Controlling Expression of Key Regulatory Genes
A CRISPR‐based screening identified miR‐940 as a critical suppressor of ferroptosis in cancer. By coordinating the downregulation of pro‐ferroptotic genes with the upregulation of GPX4, miR‐940 establishes a regulatory network that protects against ferroptosis and correlates with poor clinical outcomes in distinct cancer entities.

Contraceptives with folate – new possibilities for prophylaxis of fetal congenital abnormalities
Neural tube defects (NTD) are a group of fetal congenital abnormalities which are formed in the first weeks of embryonal development. NTDs are formed when neural tube is not fully closed for the first 28 days after conception, i.e when a woman does not ...

The genome of Rhodococcus erythropolis D‐1 was analyzed by bioinformatic tools to mine a novel nonribosomal peptide synthetase (NRPS) gene cluster. A nonribosomal peptide analog ZURJC5 associated with the NRPS was chemically synthesized. Through structure‐activity relationship studies, ZURJC28 was ultimately obtained and showed antibacterial activity ...
