FOLD–HOPF BIFURCATION ANALYSIS FOR A COUPLED FITZHUGH–NAGUMO NEURAL SYSTEM WITH TIME DELAY

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2010
A FitzHugh–Nagumo (FHN) model with delayed coupling is considered. For a critical case when the corresponding characteristic equation has a single zero root and a pair of purely imaginary roots, a complete bifurcation analysis is presented by employing the center manifold reduction and the normal form method.

On the periodic orbits bifurcating from a fold Hopf bifurcation in two hyperchaotic systems

Optik, 2015
Abstract In this work, analytical proofs of the existence of fold Hopf bifurcation in hyperchaotic Chen system and new hyperchaotic system are characterized. Based on the averaging theory, sufficient conditions for stability and instability of the bifurcating periodic orbits are also provided.

The transition from conservative to dissipative flows in class-B laser model with fold-Hopf bifurcation and coexisting attractors

Chinese Physics B, 2022
Dynamical behaviors of a class-B laser system with dissipative strength are analyzed for a model in which the polarization is adiabatically eliminated. The results show that the injected signal has an important effect on the dynamical behaviors of the system. When the injected signal is zero, the dissipative term of the class-B laser system is balanced
