Foliicolous lichens of India with special reference to Arunachal Pradesh

Foliicolous Lichens representing an interesting symbiotic life in phyllosphere, comprise 125 species in India and 91 species in Arunachal Pradesh that form ca 73% of the total Foliicolous Lichen flora of India. Arunachal Pradesh, in Eastern Himalaya exhibits maximum species diversity of Foliicolous Lichens among all the States in India.

New foliicolous lichen records for lichen flora of Turkey

Five new foliicolous lichen records for flora of Turkey, Byssoloma subdiscordans (Nyl.) P. James, Fellhanera bouteillei (Desm.) Vezda., Gyalectidium caucasicum (Elenk. & Woronich) Vezda, Gyalectidium colchicum Vezda and Strigula elegans Fr., are presented.

Abstract A total of 98 species of obligately foliicolous lichens is recorded to date from submontane and montane rainforests of the Usambara Mountains, Tanzania, due mainly to collections made during the Usambara Rain Forest Project expeditions.
