WFS1 Deficiency Impairs PIAS4‐Associated SUMOylation and Increases Ubiquitin‐Mediated Spermatogenesis‐Related Protein Degradation Leading to Testicular Male Infertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The findings establish a critical role for WFS1 in human male fertility. Mechanistically, WFS1 interacts with PIAS4 to promote the SUMOylation of key spermatogenesis‐associated proteins, which in turn competitively inhibits their K48‐linked ubiquitin‐mediated degradation during spermatogenesis.

Flexible Integration of Structurally Diverse Spatial Multi‐Omics With AgaeSMO

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AgaeSMO is a versatile and robust deep learning framework for flexible cross‐integration of spatial multi‐omics data. Leveraging a GATs network with a graph attention module, it learns joint embedding across diverse modalities, enabling integration of both structurally paired (e.g., spatial transcriptome‐epigenome, transcriptome‐proteome, transcriptome‐

Free 25(OH)D3 levels in follicular ovarian fluid top-quality embryos are higher than non-top-quality embryos in the normoresponders group

open access: yesScientific Reports
Vitamin D and calcium in follicular fluid play an important role in modulating steroidogenesis, folliculogenesis, and oocyte quality determination. Both collaborate to produce top-quality embryos (TQE) during in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Sustainable Hydrogel‐Forming Microneedle‐Reservoir Patches for Transdermal Delivery of Hydrophilic Macromolecules: Biopolymers, Green Manufacturing and Translation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐forming microneedle (HFMN)‐reservoir patches provide a modular route for controlled transdermal delivery of hydrophilic biomacromolecules. The platform integrates skin‐barrier penetration, sustainable biopolymers, scalable green manufacturing, hydration‐driven transport, model‐cargo validation, and translational quality requirements.

Unraveling ovarian histology: The key morphological aspects that spur the development of the Fossa ovarii in equine

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The equine ovary exhibits unique structural and developmental features that distinguish it from those of other domestic species, including the presence of an ovulation fossa and an inversion of cortical and medullary layers. This study aimed to investigate the morphostructural development of the equine fetal ovary, with particular emphasis on ...

RELATION OF ANTIMÜLLERIAN, FOLLICULAR STIMULATING HORMONE AND ANTRAL FOLLICLE COUNT ON INTRACYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION OUTCOME IN INFERTILE PATIENTS

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Medical Sciences, 2016
Background:Studying some of fertility-related hormones is of major benefit to identify the causative factors and to search for an appropriate treatment. Anti-müllerian hormone regarded as quantitative markers for ovarian reserve.

Specific FSH suppression in male rat by porcine follicular fluid

open access: yes, 1981
A variety of protocols using intact, castrated, and sham-castrated adult male rats was used to test the ability of porcine follicular fluid to selectively suppress serum follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

Early stages of tooth development in the harbor porpoise Phocoena phocoena

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Here we describe the stages of tooth development in toothed whales on the basis of the harbor porpoise (Phocoena phocoena). The aim of the study was to find out whether these stages are identical to those of other mammals analyzed so far although toothed whales are homodont and monophyodont.

Comparative histological, histochemical, and histometric evaluation of the esophagus in two avian species with different feeding habits (Ciconia ciconia and Buteo buteo)

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Histological structure of esophagus. Abstract The aim of this study was to conduct a comparative evaluation of the histological and histochemical organization of the esophagus in two avian species with different feeding ecologies. A total of 6 individuals were used for this purpose (3 storks, 3 common buzzards).
