The first host plant dataset of Curculionidae Scolytinae of the world: miscellaneous tribes (Part 2)

open access: yesScientific Data
Scolytinae (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) are one of the most successful groups of invasive species. They are generally moved among continents transported within live plants, timber and wood-packaging materials.

Radiological Conditions in Al-Basra Province of Iraq with Residues of Depleted Uranium in Food Animals: Review Article [PDF]

open access: yesBasrah Journal of Veterinary Research
Naturally occurring uranium ore is abundant in nature and contains several isotopes of uranium. All uranium isotopes are radioactive. However, only Uranium-235 (U-235) is used to produce nuclear power and nuclear weapons.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Transcriptome-derived variants in milk reveal host response signatures to subclinical intramammary infection in Holstein cattle

open access: yesJournal of Animal Science and Biotechnology
Background Beyond conventional transcriptome profiling, RNA-sequencing (RNA-Seq) enables the discovery of variants within expressed genes linked to complex traits such as mastitis resistance or susceptibility. In this study, RNA-Seq was performed on milk

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
