Interface‐Engineered Binary Framework Composites: Advancing Porous Materials for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Binary framework composites integrate two complementary porous architectures into a unified platform, enabling multifunctional design, enhanced structural tunability, and improved physicochemical performance. By combining high surface area, ordered porosity, interfacial synergy, and versatile functionalization, these hybrid materials offer new ...

Sensitive and Spatially‐Resolved Electrochemiluminescence via Micropatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The use of a simple silica nanoparticle surface coating and patterning process can transform ordinary gold electrodes into multiplexed ECL sensing electrodes. Through spatially confined droplet formation and local ECL emission, it is possible to perform multiple analyses simultaneously from individual locations as well as intensify the ECL signal by as

Food Contamination

open access: yes
Food chemistry is a fascinating field that bridges the gap between science and the culinary arts. It explores the molecular composition of food, the chemical processes that occur during cooking and storage, and the ways in which these processes affect flavor, texture, and nutritional value.

Micropillar‐Engineered Hybrid Adhesive Patch for Surface‐Conformable and Directional Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents a surface‐conformable hybrid adhesive integrating height‐optimized hexagonal micropillars with open‐rectangular cuts. The micropillars enhance rough‐surface contact and microscale crack arrest, while the cuts guide and reverse interfacial cracks for strong and directional adhesion. The multiscale architecture achieves robust pull‐off

Environmental Nephrotoxicity Across the Life Course: Oxidative Stress Mechanisms and Opportunities for Early Intervention

open access: yesAntioxidants
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) affects nearly 10% of the global population, ranks among the top ten causes of death, and often progresses silently to end-stage disease without timely intervention.

Flexible Chemiresistive Chitosan‐Glycerol Sensors on Laser‐Induced Graphene Electrodes for Room‐Temperature Ammonia Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Flexible Chitosan‐glycerol sensor integrated with porous laser‐induced graphene (LIG) electrodes enable room‐temperature chemiresistive detection of ammonia (NH3) and proof‐of‐concept detection of fish spoilage. ABSTRACT We report a metal‐free sensor platform combining laser induced graphene (LIG) electrodes with drop‐deposited, glycerol‐plasticized ...

Maternal Exposure to Microplastics and High-Fructose Diet Induces Offspring Hypertension via Disruption of H2S Signaling, Gut Microbiota, and Metabolic Networks

open access: yesAntioxidants
Maternal consumption of a high-fructose (HF) diet or exposure to microplastics (MPs) can each independently affect kidney development and increase the risk of hypertension in adult offspring, yet their combined impact remains poorly understood ...
