A Rasch-based validation of the Indonesian version of the food neophobia scale

Development of a scale to measure the trait of food neophobia in humans

Using standard test construction techniques, we developed a paper and pencil measure of the trait of food neophobia, which was defined as a reluctance to eat and/or avoidance of novel foods. The resulting 10-item test was found to have satisfactory test-retest reliability and internal consistency.
