Determination of the Forming Limit Stress Curve for Anisotropic Sheets
CIRP Annals - Manufacturing Technology, 1987Abstract The aim of this study is to propose s calculation method based on Hill's yield criterium to determine the forming limit stress states for anisotropic sheets. First we determine experimentally the forming limit diagrams of a titanium sheet for various strain path shapes. From these diagrams, we calculate then the limit stress states.

Forming Limit Curve Determination of a DP-780 Steel Sheet [PDF]
In the present work, the forming limit curve (FLC) of a 1.1mm thick DP-780 steel sheet is evaluated. The full FLC determination involved tensile tests of planar samples with different notch geometries – providing data in the tension-compression range ...

Forming Limit Curves and Forming Limit Stress Curves for Advanced High Strength Steels
Materials Science Forum, 2013Experimental and numerical investigations using Forming Limit Curve (FLC) and Forming Limit Stress Curve (FLSC) were carried out for two Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) grades DP780 and TRIP780. The forming limit curves were experimentally determined by means of Nakazima stretching test.

Experimental and numerical investigations on forming limit curves in micro forming
Advances in Materials and Processing Technologies, 2020The Forming limit diagram is an important tool in metal forming processes, as it indicates the failure limits for ductile damage and onsite necking.

Variability of forming limit curves
International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 1974Summary The forming limit curve indicates the maximum uniform strain which can be achieved in an element of a sheet which is strained in a proportional biaxial straining process; it refers to the strain in a region adjacent to, but not within, any area of localized straining associated with rupture.

The forming limit curve for bending processes
International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 1979Abstract The maximum strain that metal can suffer in some bulk forming processes is limited by the phenomenon of shear band formation, which precedes ductile fracture. The process of strain localization in the shear band has been analysed theoretically on the basis of the theory of plastic flow.

Forming Limit Curves in Single Point Incremental Forming
CIRP Annals, 2007New experimental data is presented on Forming Limits in Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF), which is a sheet metal forming process which does not require dies. A Box-Behnken Design of Experiment is used to develop the experimental plan and analyze data. In former work, the most critical factors affecting Single Point Incremental Forming were found

Forming Limit Curves for Complex Strain Paths
Archives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2013This paper presents results of experimental studies of forming limit curves (FLC) for sheet forming under complex strain paths. The Nakazima-type formability tests have been performed for the as-received steel blank and for the blank pre-strained by13%.

Limiting Functional Forms for Market Demand Curves
Econometrica, 1972On the basic assumption that individual consumption of a good is a stochastic phenomenon, the first part of this article shows that under general conditions market quantity demanded is asymptotically (as n, the number of individuals in the market, increases) distributed as normal with mean and variance a function of own price given all other prices and
