Forming Limit Diagram Generation of Aluminum Alloy AA2014 Using Nakazima Test Simulation Tool

open access: yes, 2016
Plastic instability is a commonly observed problem, in sheet metal forming operation, which leads to defective products. Forming Limit Diagram (FLD) is an important parameter to be considered in the manufacturing process of non-defective sheet products ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Press forming limit of ductile metal sheet

open access: yes, 2020
Transport equipment such as cars and aircraft are working to reduce weight. A common practice is to build the structure from lightweight materials. So far, attention has been focused on multi-materials that properly use lightweight materials that are ...

On predicting the forming limit diagram for automotive aluminium sheet

open access: yes, 1998
Aluminum has considerable potential as a material for automotive panels. The ability to predict forming limit diagrams accurately for aluminum is important for preventing failure in the forming process.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Study on Forming Limit of Tubes

open access: yes, 2003
The objective of this study is to establish the Forming Limit Diagram (FLD) of tubes. An experimental system of tube hydroforming, the electrical chemical etching method and the image process system are used to carry out the sheet metal forming test and ...

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
