These findings elucidate the innovative role of HIC1 as a transcriptional activator in GC, driving the initiation of pyroptosis and enhancing CD8+ T cell infiltration, which has certain novelty and creative significance. Collectively, targeting HIC1 can present an appealing immunotherapeutic strategy to improve outcomes in GC patients.

Do dietary patterns in older men influence change in homocysteine through folate fortification? The Normative Aging Study [PDF]
Objective We aimed to describe the difference in B-vitamin intake and in plasma B-vitamin and homocysteine concentrations before and after folic acid fortification, in relation to dietary patterns. Design The Normative Aging Study (NAS) is a longitudinal

Autologous plasma‐derived platelet‐rich fibrin (PRF) is prepared as a protective shield for mesenchymal stem cell spheroids (Sp‐MSCs). PRF forms a fibrin shield to protect Sp‐MSCs from the oxidative stress environment. The nutrients in PRF, particularly the α‐granules, can enhance the repair function of Sp‐MSCs.

Food fortification strategies to deliver nutrients for the management of iron deficiency anaemia
A rising trend in the global prevalence of anaemia is still prevailing. To combat micronutrient deficiencies, World Health Organisation/Food Agriculture Organisation (2006) guidelines recommended four chief strategies – supplementation, fortification ...

A new amphipathic molecule, S416 is discovered, that locks the SARS‐CoV‐2 spike protein in its closed state, blocking viral entry. S416 acts as a molecular bolt, binding six sites: three between adjacent RBDs and three connecting NTDs to RBDs. This dual‐locking mechanism stiffens the spike structure and reduces its flexibility.

Thermal compaction as an alternative approach for full-RAP base layer construction
The use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in road base layers represents a solution to reduce the consumption of natural aggregates. However, the variability of RAP properties poses challenges to its application, particularly regarding mechanical ...
