Effects of IGFBP4 deficiency on human preadipocyte proliferation and differentiation through the IGF1R/AKT pathway

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Feasibility and Tolerability of Performing Portable MRI for Neurological Disorders in an Outpatient Neurology Clinic: A Prospective Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Accessing brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be challenging, especially for underserved patients, which may lead to disparities in neurological diagnosis. Method This mixed‐methods study enrolled adults with one of four neurological disorders: mild cognitive impairment or dementia of the Alzheimer type, multiple sclerosis ...

Forward and Backward Private Searchable Encryption for Cloud-Assisted Industrial IoT

open access: yesSensors
In the cloud-assisted industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), since the cloud server is not always trusted, the leakage of data privacy becomes a critical problem. Dynamic symmetric searchable encryption (DSSE) allows for the secure retrieval of outsourced

Forward-Secure Multisignature, Threshold Signature and Blind Signature Schemes

open access: yes, 2014
—Forward-secure signatures are proposed to tackle the key exposure problem, in which the security of all signatures prior to key leakage is still kept even if the secret key leaks.

Simple forward-secure signatures from any signature scheme

open access: yes, 2000
In Crypto\u2799, Bellare and Miner introduced {\em forward-secure signatures} as digital signature schemes with the attractive property that exposure of the signing key at certain time period does not allow for the forgery of signatures from previous ...

Fluid Biomarkers of Disease Burden and Cognitive Dysfunction in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Identifying objective biomarkers for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is crucial to improving diagnosis and establishing clinical trial and treatment endpoints. This study evaluated fluid biomarkers in PSP versus controls and their associations with regional 18F‐PI‐2620 tau‐PET, clinical, and cognitive outcomes.

Multiplicative Forward-Secure Threshold Signature Scheme

open access: yes, 2008
. The devastating consequence of secret key exposure in digital signature is that any signature can be forged and cannot be trusted. To mitigate the damage of secret key exposure, forward-secure signature schemes and threshold signature schemes are ...

Secure Beamforming via Amplify-and-Forward Relays in Machine-to-Machine Communications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2013
We consider the collaborative use of amplify-and-forward relays to form a beamforming system and provide physical layer security for a wireless machine-to-machine (M2M) communication network. We investigate two objectives: (i) the achievable secrecy rate

Forward Secure Non-Interactive Key Exchange

open access: yes, 2014
International audienceExposure of secret keys is a major concern when cryptographic protocols are implemented on weakly secure devices. Forward security is thus a way to mitigate damages when such an event occurs.

Risk of Retinopathy Associated with Long‐Term Use of Hydroxychloroquine in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to estimate the prevalence and cumulative incidence of hydroxychloroquine retinopathy (HCQ‐R) and its risk factors among patients receiving long‐term HCQ with rheumatic diseases through a systematic review and meta‐analysis of observational studies that used spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography (SD‐OCT) for screening ...
