Characterization of Sirt2 using conditional RNAi in mice [PDF]
Within the past eight years, RNA interference (RNAi) has emerged as a powerful experimental tool for gene function analysis in mice. Reversible control of shRNA mediated RNAi has been achieved by using a tetracycline (tet)-inducible promoter.

Mucosal Immunity and the FOXO1 Transcription Factors
FOXO1 transcription factors affect a number of cell types that are important in the host response. Cell types whose functions are modulated by FOXO1 include keratinocytes in the skin and mucosal dermis, neutrophils and macrophages, dendritic cells, Tregs

EHD4 and ASAP2 are critical negative regulators of the claudin‐5‐based endothelial barrier
Cell‐surface CLDN‐5 protein levels can be evaluated using a probe that can bind to the extracellular domains of CLDN‐5. A probe derived from Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin allows us to isolate cells with high CLDN‐5 protein levels from a knockout cell library.

Previous studies of the prognostic importance of FOXO1 fusion status in patients with rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) have had conflicting results. We re‐examined risk stratification by adding FOXO1 status to traditional clinical prognostic factors in children ...

Evaluating the p-FOXO1/FOXO1 Ratio: An Alternative Strategy for Endometrial Cancer Diagnosis
Background: The FOXO subfamily of Forkhead transcription factors plays a central role in pro-moting expression of proapoptotic and cell cycle regulatory genes. FOXO1 expression has an im-portant role in human endometrium homeostasis. Therefore, reduced FOXO1 protein and its inactivation by phosphorylation might, play a role in progression of human ...

Abstract In the context of current global change, variations in water temperature are one of the environmental conditions with serious consequences for marine life, including reproductive processes. In the small spotted catshark Scyliorhinus canicula, spermatogenesis occurs in spermatocysts composed of synchronously developing germ cells associated ...

NF‐κB/FOXO3a/c‐JUN pathway plays a crucial role in osteogenic. Differentiation of aged PDLCs in an inflammatory microenvironment, although the mechanisms of this pathway differ in cellular ageing and pathological inflammation. ABSTRACT Aim This study aims to investigate the effect of inflammation on the senescence phenotype and osteogenic capacity of ...

The Role of Wnt Signaling in Age‐Related Alveolar Bone Loss and Regeneration
The graphical abstract summarizes key signaling pathways involved in bone formation and resorption associated with Wnt signaling across young and aged long bone and jaw tissues. Levels of evidence are indicated as robust, moderate, or emerging, reflecting the current experimental support in each context.
