An observational analysis on the influence of parental allergic rhinitis, asthma and smoking on exhaled nitric oxide in offspring [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Parental allergic diseases and smoking influence respiratory disease in the offspring but it is not known whether they influence fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) in the offspring.

Effect of Dupilumab on Airway Inflammation in Patients With Persistent Asthma
EXPEDITION (NCT02573233) assessed the effects of dupilumab on airway inflammation in patients with persistent asthma using bronchoscopy and gene expression analysis. Dupilumab showed no appreciable effect on inflammatory cell types in biopsies or BALF samples.

We aimed to characterise Alternaria sensitisation trajectories from childhood to adulthood; we compared SPT, whole‐extract sIgE and rAlt a 1, and assessed their longitudinal association with asthma and rhinitis in the Isle of Wight birth cohort. Alternaria sensitisation in the Isle of Wight Birth Cohort emerges mainly in late adolescence and, when ...

Refining mild asthma phenotyping with FeNO: a population-based evaluation
The utility of fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) was evaluated alongside blood eosinophils in phenotyping mild asthma. Inclusion of FeNO improved classification accuracy and calibration in an adapted ISAR-based model; however, its predictive ...

Serotonin Degradation and Lipid Metabolism Regulate Human Tc2 Cell Effector Functions
Human Tc2 cells exhibit a metabolically active phenotype characterized by enhanced glycolysis, mitochondrial respiration, and fatty acid uptake dependent on PPARγ. Alarmins strongly amplify IL‐5 and IL‐13 production in Tc2 cells, supporting a shared immunometabolic program across type 2 lymphocytes.

Remission in Global Airway Diseases: EUFOREA Consensus Paper
ABSTRACT The therapeutic goal in chronic airway diseases is shifting from symptom control to disease remission. Disease‐modifying therapies, including biologics and allergen immunotherapy, have made remission achievable in patients with severe asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), or allergic rhinitis (AR).
