Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Fractional CCP: A Fuzzy Goal Programming Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Engineering and Production Research, 2014
It is the purpose of this article to introduce a linear approximation technique for solving a fractional chance constrained programming (CC) problem. For this purpose, a fuzzy goal programming model of the equivalent deterministic form of the fractional ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

A Novel Approach for Solving Quadratic Fractional Programming Problems

open access: yesCroatian Operational Research Review, 2018
In this paper, quadratic fractional programming (QFP) problems involving a factorized or non-factorized objective function and subject to homogenous or non-homogenous constraints are considered.

An Algorithm for Quadratically Constrained Multi-objective Quadratic Fractional Programming with Pentagonal Fuzzy Numbers [PDF]

open access: yesOperations Research and Decisions, 2022
This study proposes a methodology to obtain an efficient solution for a programming model which is multi-objective quadratic fractional with pentagonal fuzzy numbers as coefficients in all the objective functions and constraints.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

FINANCIAL STRUCTURE OPTIMIZATION BY USING A GOAL PROGRAMMING APPROACH

open access: yesCroatian Operational Research Review, 2012
This paper proposes a new methodology for solving the multiple objective fractional linear programming problems using Taylor’s formula and goal programming techniques.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

A Proposal to the Solution of Multiobjective Linear Fractional Programming Problem

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We have proposed a new solution to the Multiobjective Linear Fractional Programming Problem (MOLFPP). The proposed solution is based on a theorem that deals with nonlinear fractional programming with single objective function and studied in the work by ...
