Fracture behaviour of isotropically conductive adhesives

The fracture behavior of several commercial, silver-filled epoxies was studied using a combination of fracture mechanics, surface science, and microscopy. Thermal Conductivity of a Single Fracture

Transport in Porous Media, 1997
The macroscopic conductivity of fractures is determined for Gaussian and self-affine fractures by solving the three-dimensional Laplace equation. Results are discussed and compared with various analytical or two-dimensional approximations. They are shown to be in good agreement with some existing experimental data.

ABSTRACT Preliminary results of an experimental programme to determine the significance of dual phase flow in propped fractures are presented. Gas-water flows are considered. The results demonstrate that, even in cases of minimal water production, effective permeabilities may typically be reduced by a factor of 2, or more.
