Reorienting frailty in clinical practice, public health, and policy: the Lancet Commission on Frailty

open access: yes
WHO's policy framework for healthy ageing from the World Report on Ageing and Health recognises frailty as the foremost geriatric syndrome in older adults and a key determinant of functional ability.1 Frailty poses a major public health challenge, with a

Bioadhesive Hydrogel With Polyphenol‐Armored Nanogene Rejuvenates Chondrocyte Senescence for Aged Osteoarthritis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An adhesive hydrogel depot with polyphenol‐armored nanogenes is developed for treating aged osteoarthritis. This system maintains miR‐140 bioactivity, prolongs its intra‐articular retention, and enhances transfection into chondrocytes, leading to the downregulation of senescence‐associated pathways.

CD44‐Targeting Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticles (HAP) Induce Mitochondrial Dysfunction‐Driven PANoptosis and Immunogenic Cell Death (ICD) via Ca Overload in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains therapeutically challenging due to high metastasis, recurrence, and immunotherapy resistance driven by tumor microenvironment‐mediated immune evasion. Immunogenic cell death (ICD) offers a promising strategy to reshape the immune microenvironment, yet existing ICD inducers suffer from poor targeting efficiency ...

Reasons for seeking emergency care for geriatric patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and the effectiveness of pre-hospital treatment

open access: yesРоссийский журнал гериатрической медицины
BACKGROUND. One of the most common age-related conditions is atrial fibrillation (AF). The development of AF in geriatric patients leads to the inevitable prescription of additional medications: anticoagulants and means to control rhythm or frequency ...

Pathological Mechanism‐Inspired Biomimetic Nano‐Senotherapy for Reversing Experimental Atherosclerosis in ApoE−/− Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The biomimetic self‐assembly nanomedicine reversing atherosclerosis via senotherapy strategy. ABSTRACT The greatest challenge in atherosclerosis (AS) management lies in achieving lesion reversal, not merely slowing progression. Senescent cell accumulation—driven by continuous generation and apoptotic resistance—perpetuates plaque pathology and ...

SuFEx‐Enabled Reprogramming of Flavonoids for Selective α‐Glucosidase Covalent Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective inhibition of intestinal α‐glucosidase remains limited by poor enzyme specificity and off‐target metabolic effects. Here, SuFEx click chemistry is used to reprogram natural flavonoids into covalent inhibitors with enhanced α‐glucosidase selectivity and controlled reactivity. This strategy enables effective regulation of carbohydrate digestion
