Free amino acids inLimnaea III

Experientia, 1964

Free α-Oxiranyl Amino Acids.

The Journal of organic chemistry, 1995
Analogues of natural amino acids, in which the α-proton is replaced by an unsubstituted epoxide ring, are potential mechanism-based inhibitors for pyridoxal phosphate dependent enzymes.1 Yet, free α-oxiranyl amino acids have remained elusive until now. The synthesis of an α-(phenyl-substituted)oxiranyl amino ester has been reported.

FREE AMINO ACIDS OF FETAL BRAIN

Journal of Neurochemistry, 1969
Abstract— Injection of each of the branched chain amino acids into maternal rats from the 14th to 21st day of pregnancy resulted in increased levels of these compounds in fetal serum. Furthermore, these amino acids were found in high concentration in fetal brain.

γ-Amino-butyric Acid and Other Free Amino-acids in the Coconut

Nature, 1956
γ-AMINO-BUTYRIC acid has been described as present in the aqueous and alcoholic extracts of a number of plant and animal tissues1–7. In the course of studies on the nitrogenous constituents of coconut (Cocos nucifera) endosperm using paper chromatography, I have found this amino-acid to be present in amounts apparently larger than any other amino-acid ...
