YOLOv11-IMP: Anchor-Free Multiscale Detection Model for Accurate Grape Yield Estimation in Precision Viticulture

open access: yesAgronomy
Estimating grape yields in viticulture is hindered by persistent challenges, including strong occlusion between grapes, irregular cluster morphologies, and fluctuating illumination throughout the growing season.

On the support of free convolutions

open access: yes
We extend to arbitrary measures results of Bao, Erdös, Schnelli, Moreillon, and Ji on the connectedness of the supports of additive convolutions of measures on \mathbb{R} and of free multiplicative convolutions of measures on \mathbb{R}_+. More precisely, the convolution of two measures with connected supports also has connected support.

On the t-Transformation of Free Convolution

open access: yesMathematics
The study of the stability of measure families under measure transformations, as well as the accompanying limit theorems, is motivated by both fundamental and applied probability theory and dynamical systems. Stability analysis tries to uncover invariant or quasi-invariant measures that describe the long-term behavior of stochastic or deterministic ...

Multidimensional Profiling of MRI‐Negative Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Uncovers Distinct Phenotypes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Although hippocampal sclerosis (TLE‐HS) represents the most frequent cause of temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), up to 30% of patients show no lesion on visual MRI inspection (TLE‐MRIneg). These cases pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges and are underrepresented in surgical series.

Temporal Deformable Convolutional Encoder-Decoder Networks for Video Captioning

open access: yes, 2019
It is well believed that video captioning is a fundamental but challenging task in both computer vision and artificial intelligence fields. The prevalent approach is to map an input video to a variable-length output sentence in a sequence to sequence ...

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

Representations of Unitary Groups and Free Convolution

open access: yesPublications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 1995
To each finite dimensional representation of a unitary group U ( n ) is associated a probability measure on the set of integers, depending on the highest weights which occur in this representation. We show that asymptotically for large

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

A note on regularity for free convolutions [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales de l'Institut Henri Poincare (B) Probability and Statistics, 2006
Abstract Let μ ⊞ ν and μ ⊠ ν denote the free additive convolution and the free multiplicative convolution, respectively, of the Borel probability measures μ and ν. We analyze the boundary behavior of the functions G μ ⊞ ν ( z ) = ∫ 1 z − t d ( μ ⊞ ν ) ( t ) and ψ μ ⊠ ν ( z ) = ∫ z
