Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Combinatorics of cyclic-conditional freeness
We develop the relevant combinatorics pertaining to cyclic-conditional freeness in order to introduce the adequate sets of cumulants linearizing the cyclic-conditional additive convolution.

Tensor product construction of 2-freeness
From a sequence of m-fold tensor product constructions that give a hierarchy of freeness indexed by natural numbers m we examine in detail the first non-trivial case corresponding to m=2 which we call 2-freeness. We show that in this case the constructed

Testing Generalised Freeness of Words.
Pseudo-repetitions are a natural generalisation of the classical notion of repetitions in sequences: they are the repeated concatenation of a word and its encoding under a certain morphism or antimorphism (anti-/morphism, for short). We approach the problem of deciding efficiently, for a word w and a literal anti-/morphism f, whether w contains an ...

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

An alternative proof of hill's criterion of freeness for abelian groups [PDF]
In this note we provide a different proof of Hill's criteria of freeness for abelian groups. Our proof hinges on the construction of suitable $G(\aleph_0)$-families of subgroups of the links in Hill's theorem and, ultimately, on the construction of such ...
