Cryodissection of vessels of the human heart [PDF]
Background. One of the most actual problems of applied morphology is the problem of demonstrativeness. In the educational process it is important to demonstrate the organs taken from the human body with all features of their structure preserved.

Freezing a Quantum Magnet by Repeated Quantum Interference: An Experimental Realization
We experimentally demonstrate the phenomenon of dynamical many-body freezing in a periodically driven Ising chain. Theoretically [Phys. Rev. B 82, 172402 (2010)], for certain values of the drive parameters all fundamental degrees of freedom contributing ...

Breast cancer metastasis is associated with myeloid cell dysregulation and the lung‐specific accumulation of tumor‐supportive Gr1+ cells. Gr1+ cells support metastasis, in part, through a CHI3L1‐mediated mechanism, which can be targeted and inhibited with cargo‐free, polymeric nanoparticles.

Flavonoids are determinants of freezing tolerance and cold acclimation in Arabidopsis thaliana
In plants from temperate climates such as Arabidopsis thaliana low, non-freezing temperatures lead to increased freezing tolerance in a process termed cold acclimation.

Loss of proton‐sensing GPR4 reduces tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer
G protein‐coupled receptor 4 (GPR4) is a pH‐sensing receptor activated by acidic pH. GPR4 expression is increased in patients with inflammatory bowel disease who are at high risk of developing colorectal cancer. In mouse models, loss of GPR4 attenuated tumor progression. This correlated with increased IL2 and natural killer cell activity.

Effect of storage on quercetin content in frozen175 and dried shallot
The studies on effects of freezing and drying on quercetin content in shallot, as well as storage time of obtained products, were carried out. Two landraces, marked PV-S and PV201, were taken for the studies. The process of drying was carried out using a

TRPM8 levels determine tumor vulnerability to channel agonists
TRPM8 is a Ca2+ permissive channel. Regardless of the amount of its transcript, high levels of TRPM8 protein mark different tumors, including prostate, breast, colorectal, and lung carcinomas. Targeting TRPM8 with channel agonists stimulates inward calcium currents followed by emptying of cytosolic Ca2+ stores in cancer cells.
