Sequence Impedance Modeling and Stability Analysis of LCL Grid-Following Inverters Considering Frequency Coupling

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu
In recent years, electric power systems with a high penetration of grid-connected renewable sources have frequently experienced wide-frequency oscillation incidents, resulting in severe consequences such as grid disconnection of renewable sources and ...

Identification of functional murine mitochondrial formyl peptides and their effects on myeloid‐derived suppressor cell generation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Compound laser modes of mutually delay-coupled lasers : bifurcation analysis of the locking region

open access: yes, 2004
A system of two mutually delay-coupled semiconductor lasers with a small delay of 170 ps in the coupling is studied. Apart from a possible difference in their optical frequencies, we consider two identical lasers.

Data_Sheet_1_Quantification of Phase-Amplitude Coupling in Neuronal Oscillations: Comparison of Phase-Locking Value, Mean Vector Length, Modulation Index, and Generalized-Linear-Modeling-Cross-Frequency-Coupling.docx

open access: yes, 2019
Phase-amplitude coupling is a promising construct to study cognitive processes in electroencephalography (EEG) and magnetencephalography (MEG). Due to the novelty of the concept, various measures are used in the literature to calculate phase-amplitude ...

大转矩弹性橡胶联轴器高频减振特性分析

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2011
For the damping characteristic of the flexible coupling in high frequency is difficult to calculate and evaluate, based on the stress wave theory, the finite element analysis with the high frequency excitation for the flexible coupling model is carried out,

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

A novel calibration method for PD measurement in power cables and joints using capacitive couplers

open access: yes, 2004
Partial discharge (PD) measurements are universally accepted as a technique giving some indication of the state of the insulation in high voltage apparatus.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

The skills required for transition to university and study in biological sciences: A student perspective

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bioscience students were asked for their opinions on the value and teaching of skills. 204 responded that teamwork, time management and study skills are necessary to reach University, that scientific writing, research, laboratory and presentation skills are taught effectively during their studies, while other skills are gained inherently through study ...
