X-ray-frequency modulation via periodic switching of an external magnetic field
Single x-ray photons can be resonantly scattered and stored with the help of suitable transitions in the atomic nucleus. Here, we investigate theoretically means of mechanical-free modulation for the frequency spectra of such x-ray photons via periodic ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Highly multimode memory in a crystal
We experimentally demonstrate the storage of 1060 temporal modes onto a thulium-doped crystal using an atomic frequency comb (AFC). The comb covers 0.93 GHz defining the storage bandwidth.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Simulation study on the frequency modulation of sawtooth oscillation by plasma shape in tokamak
This study numerically investigates the impact of the tokamak plasma shape (elongation, triangularity, and aspect ratio) on the amplitude and period of sawtooth oscillations using the three-dimensional toroidal nonlinear magnetic fluid code CLT and the ...

Modulation of transcriptional burst frequency by histone acetylation
Significance Single-cell approaches have shown that many mammalian genes are transcribed stochastically in bursts of specific sizes and frequencies; however, molecular mechanisms controlling these bursting parameters have remained largely undetermined ...

Flexible Multi-Group Single-Carrier Modulation: Optimal Subcarrier Grouping and Rate Maximization
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and single-carrier frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) are two commonly adopted modulation schemes for frequency-selective channels. Compared to SC-FDE, OFDM generally achieves higher data rate, but at
