Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Day 2 versus day 3 embryo transfer in patients with fertilization and only one zygote with two pronuclei

open access: yesJournal of International Medical Research
Objective This study aimed to compare the pregnancy outcomes of Day 2 (D2) fresh embryo transfer and D3 fresh embryo transfer in women with only one zygote with two pronuclei (2PN).

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Long‐term outcomes of freeze‐all strategy: A retrospective analysis from a single ART center in Japan

open access: yesReproductive Medicine and Biology, 2019
Purpose To demonstrate the benefits of the freeze‐all strategy for in vitro fertilization treatment based on retrospective analyses. Methods Post‐thaw embryo survival rates of slow‐frozen embryos in 294 cycles and vitrified embryos in 12 195 cycles were ...

Comparative neonatal outcomes of vitrified versus fresh embryo transfers: A systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yesReproductive and Developmental Medicine, 2020
Objective: Vitrification prevents ice formation within the high concentration of cryoprotectant agents and allows the cells and extracellular milieu to solidify into a glass-like state.

Table_1_Early Spontaneous Abortion in Fresh- and Frozen-Embryo Transfers: An Analysis of Over 35,000 Transfer Cycles.docx

open access: yes, 2022
BackgroundThe aim of this study was to explore the risk factors for early spontaneous abortion (ESA) in fresh- and frozen-embryo transfers.MethodsThis retrospective cohort study comprised a total of 35,076 patients, including 15,557 women in the fresh ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

The effect of transferring a poor-quality embryo together with a good-quality embryo on the singleton birth weight: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reproductive BioMedicine, 2022
Background: Embryo quality may affect birth weight among neonates born through assisted reproductive technology. There are very limited studies assessing the adverse effect of transferring a poor-quality embryo with a good-quality one on neonatal ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Live birth after fresh versus frozen single blastocyst transfer (Frefro-blastocyst): study protocol for a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesTrials, 2017
Background Multiple pregnancies are one of the major safety concerns of in vitro fertilization (IVF) due to the increased risk of maternal and neonatal complications.
