Top‐quality embryo transfer is associated with lower odds of ectopic pregnancy

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, 2022
Introduction The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is up to four times higher after in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) than in spontaneous pregnancies, and the risk of ectopic pregnancy is increased by tubal factor ...

Is frozen embryo transfer better than fresh embryo transfer in women undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection over the age of thirty-five? A single referral centre experience

open access: yes, 1998
Developments in embryo freezing techniques in recent years have increased the chance of pregnancy after frozen embryo transfers. In this study we aimed to compare the pregnancy outcomes between fresh (ET) and frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) and to ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Freeze-all policy for in vitro fertilization in women with normal response to ovarian stimulation

open access: yesEinstein (São Paulo), 2021
Objective To answer the question if the freeze-all strategy and subsequent frozen embryo transfer is preferable to fresh embryo transfer for patients with normal response to ovarian stimulation (4 to 15 oocytes recovered) during in vitro fertilization ...

Single day 2 embryo versus blastocyst-stage transfer: a prospective study integrating fresh and frozen embryo transfers

open access: yes, 2009
International audienceWhether extended culture allowing selection of embryos with high development potential has any advantage over cleavage-stage embryo transfer remains a matter of debate. Among the currently unsolved questions, the cumulative delivery

Children conceived by in vitro fertilisation after fresh embryo transfer [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Disease in Childhood - Fetal and Neonatal Edition, 1997
AIMS To compare the outcome in in vitro fertilisation (IVF) children (after fresh embryo transfer) from multiple and singleton births with one another, and with normally conceived control children. METHODS A cohort of 278 children (150 singletons ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Anti-Mullerian hormone in guiding the selection of a freeze-all versus a fresh embryo transfer strategy: a cohort study

open access: yes, 2022
Published online: 23 July 2022Purpose: To explore an interaction effect between serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels and the relative treatment effect of a freeze-all versus a fresh embryo transfer strategy on live birth.

Oocyte maturation triggers in high-responders: a report on 1,217 consecutive cycles

open access: yesReproduction and Fertility
Using a large patient series, we aimed to evaluate, in a high-responder population, the effect of triggering oocyte maturation with human choriogonadotropin (hCG) or with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa).
