The Potential Role of Egg‐Derived Xeno‐miRs in Chemotherapy Response: An In Silico Approach

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 6, June 2025.
Dietary microRNAs (Xeno‐miRs), especially those homologous to human miRNAs found in animal‐based foods, may influence chemotherapy responses across cancer types. This study highlights the underexplored potential of human homolog egg‐derived Xeno‐miRs as biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

Beyond Conventional Approaches: The Revolutionary Role of Nanoparticles in Breast Cancer

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 4, Issue 2, June 2025.
This review explores integrated approach of nanotechnology to breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. We highlight imaging techniques for tumor detection and biomarker analysis in biological samples for early diagnosis. Advanced therapies, including targeted drug delivery and antibody‐drug conjugates, enable precise medication transport to cancer cells,

The Nasal–Brain Drug Delivery Route: Mechanisms and Applications to Central Nervous System Diseases

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2025.
Τhe BBB restricts CNS drug delivery. NBDD bypasses the BBB via olfactory/trigeminal routes, enabling CNS delivery of therapeutic (small molecules, biologics, nucleic acids) for neurodegenerative/psychiatric disorders and brain tumors using advanced NBDD delivery systems (e.g nanocarriers) to enhance targeting and bioavailability.

MultiPassMerger: Automated data processing for multipass cyclic ion mobility HDX‐MS

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 34, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract Hydrogen/deuterium exchange‐mass spectrometry (HDX‐MS) is a powerful tool for studying protein structure and dynamics. As a bottom‐up LC‐MS technique, its success largely depends on peptide identifications made by peptide mapping prior to HDX measurements.

Animal genetics 100 years ago

open access: yesAnimal Genetics, Volume 56, Issue 3, June 2025.
Abstract One hundred years ago, the first book with the phrase “Animal Genetics” in its title was published. It was written by F.A.E. Crew, then Lecturer in Genetics and foundation Director of the Department of Research in Animal Breeding at the University of Edinburgh. The 352 pages of text provide a most interesting summary of the knowledge of animal

Normoglycemia and type 2 diabetes: exploring secreted frizzled-4, insulin resistance, and waist-height ratio

open access: yesJournal of the Pakistan Medical Association
The current study was planned to compare serum levels of secreted frizzled related protein-4, insulin resistance and waist-to-height ratio in individuals with and without a diabetic background, and to assess the correlation of these markers with family ...
