Framing Modern Slavery: Do Stakeholders Talk Past Each Other?

ABSTRACT Modern slavery literature has thus far mostly adopted a downstream perspective, in the sense that researchers investigated corporate actors' responses after the enactment of transparency legislation. The common finding is that corporate disclosure is poor and ineffective, contributing to a failure to eradicate modern slavery.

Positive Doping Test Linked to Crumb Rubber From Artificial Football Pitch: Case Report

1,3‐DMBA was detected in urine samples of eight athletes following a doping control, resulting in one AAF and levels below WADA's MRL in seven teammates. Investigation revealed contamination from rubber infill used on the indoor artificial turf, with analysis confirming 1,3‐DMBA in the turf's crumb rubber originating from recycled tires.

The scaling of seed‐dispersal specialization in interaction networks across levels of organization

Ecography, EarlyView.
Natural ecosystems are characterized by a specialization pattern where few species are common while many others are rare. In ecological networks involving biotic interactions, specialization operates as a continuum at individual, species, and community levels. Theory predicts that ecological and evolutionary factors can primarily explain specialization.

Rational Design of CdS QDs/CeO2 Nanocube S‐Scheme Heterojunctions for Highly Efficient C2H4 Scavenging in Fresh Produce Preservation

A novel S‐scheme heterojunction of CdS quantum dots on CeO2 nanocubes was designed to enhance charge separation and oxygen activation for efficient photocatalytic ethylene removal. This study investigates Spanish broom (Spartium junceum) as a renewable source for electrospun composite membranes in sustainable water purification. MCC and biochar were functionalized with eco‐friendly precursors and nanomaterials (i.e., HNT, β‐CDs) to develop hybrid PVA nanofiber composites.
