Synergistic Effect of Gradient Conductivity and Gradient Microstructures Enabled Ultrasensitive and Ultrabroad Linear Flexible Tactile Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A design of double gradient effect is proposed to resolve the contradictory optimization on sensitivity and linearity of piezoresistive tactile sensors. The ultrawide linearity is realized by the sequential trigger of pressure‐induced gradient conductivity‐enabled linear current owing to the gradient microstructures.

Wearable‐Derived Diurnal Alignment Between Physical Activity and Device Temperature Predicts Future Disease and Mortality Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wearable‐derived diurnal alignment between physical activity and device temperature, decomposed into 24 h coupling strength (M24), phase deviation (D24), and 12 h harmonic magnitude (M12), is examined in approximately 90,000 UK Biobank participants.

Correlation of Shape of Fruits, Cotyledons, and Seeds in Melons

open access: yesBotanical Gazette, 1935
1. The correlation of shape of cotyledons with shape of fruits, of shape of seeds with shape of fruits, and of shape of seeds with shape of cotyledons was investigated in melons. 2. Coefficients of correlation were calculated by using shape indices. By employing the methods of analysis of covariance, coefficients were determined, not only for the total

Multispectral images of peach related to firmness and maturity at harvest

open access: yes, 2009
wo multispectral maturity classifications for red soft-flesh peaches (‘Kingcrest’, ‘Rubyrich’ and ‘Richlady’ n = 260) are proposed and compared based on R (red) and R/IR (red divided by infrared) images obtained with a three CCD camera (800 nm, 675 nm ...

Flexible Thin‐Film Heater Composed of Laser‐Induced Graphene and Poly(D, L‐Lactic Acid) with Electro‐ and Photo‐Thermal Properties toward Cancer Thermotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a thin‐film‐type heat‐generating device that uses laser induced graphene (LIG) on a poly(D, L‐lactic) acid film, which realizes both resistance heating by direct current application and photothermal conversion heating by near‐infrared light irradiation.

An Evaluation of Delicious Strains for the Size and Shape of Fruit

open access: yesJournal of the American Pomological Society, 1982
Delicious strains have been evaluated primarily for fruit color and tree characteristics (1), although size and shape of fruit has received some attention. Westwood (5) showed that the fruits of Starkrimson (Bisbee strain) were more elongated than Starking. Meheriuk et al. (4) evaluated 22 strains of Delicious and found that fruits of spur strains were
