Reiterated homogenization of nonlinear monotone operators in a general deterministic setting
We study reiterated homogenization of a nonlinear non‐periodic elliptic differential operator in a general deterministic setting as opposed to the usual stochastic setting. Our approach proceeds from an appropriate notion of convergence termed reiterated Σ‐convergence.

Infinitely many new curves of the Fučík spectrum [PDF]
In this paper we present some results on the Fučík spectrum for the Laplace operator, that give new information on its structure. In particular, these results show that, if Ω is a bounded domain of R^N with N>1, then the Fučík spectrum has infinitely ...

A lattice Boltzmann approach to mathematical modeling of myocardial perfusion
A mathematical model of myocardial perfusion based on the lattice Boltzmann method and contrast agent transport based on advection–diffusion equation is proposed in 1D and 2D and its applicability is discussed in both healthy and diseased cases in relation to the perfusion magnetic resonance imaging exam.

Various Half‐Eigenvalues of Scalar p‐Laplacian with Indefinite Integrable Weights
Consider the half‐eigenvalue problem (ϕp(x′))′+λa(t)ϕp(x+)−λb(t)ϕp(x−)=0 a.e. t ∈ [0, 1], where 1 < p < ∞, ϕp(x) = |x|p−2x, x±(⋅) = max {±x(⋅), 0} for x ∈ 𝒞0 : = C([0, 1], ℝ), and a(t) and b(t) are indefinite integrable weights in the Lebesgue space ℒγ : = Lγ([0, 1], ℝ), 1 ≤ γ ≤ ∞.

The Fučík spectrum of the discrete Dirichlet operator

The present study is devoted to the development of an ADI approach to simulate two-dimensional time-dependent diffusion process of ferromagnetic particles in magnetic fluids. Specific features of the problem are the Neumann boundary conditions.

The educational diffusion of divorce: The role of gender and context
Abstract Objective This study examines the educational diffusion of divorce in Europe and the role of women's decision‐making therein. Background As the contextual barriers to divorce have lowered, the divorce rates of less‐educated women have increased in many societies.

Semianalytical Solution for Two‐Phase Flow in Porous Media with a Discontinuity
We present a benchmark solution for one‐dimensional porous media with heterogeneity involving two soils separated by a sharp interface. A similar problem was discussed previously by other researchers; however, only a diffusion term was considered in their models. The proposed solution allows the inclusion of advection terms in a limited way.

Nonlinear problems with asymmetric principal part
The boundary value problem is considered provided that f : [0, +∞) → [0, +∞) is Lipschitzian and is continuous and Lipschitzian in xand x′. We assume that f is bounded by two linear functions kx and lx, where k > l > 0, and h is bounded.

Abstract The Permanent Structured Cooperation in Defence (PESCO) and the European Defence Fund (EDF) constitute another attempt to consolidate the European defence market. In this article, we explain the different engagements of Czechia and Portugal in the two initiatives until 2021 through the evolution and reform of the domestic institutions ...
