Fuel flow control of a PEM Fuel Cell with MPPT
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control, 2012In this paper, a Fuel Cell (FC) Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) with fuel flow optimization is developed. The aim of this study is to extract the maximum power from a FC at different fuel flow rates and to protect the FC from over-current and voltage collapses across terminals.

Fuel-efficient navigation in complex flows
2008 American Control Conference, 2008In realistic time-chaotic flows, the time-dependent separatrices are revealed by Lagrangian coherent structures (LCS). The LCS surfaces organize complex flows, revealing dynamical channels useful for weakly propelled mobile agents. We propose a feedback control strategy to explicitly incorporate LCS, which are in general evolving. Inane et al.

Energy & Fuels, 2007
The aim of this work is to investigate the effect of cavitation on the fuel flow and atomization characteristics of the biodiesel fuel. To study these characteristics of biodiesel as an alternative fuel, two different nozzles which have different length-to-width ratios were utilized in this experiment.

Transfers, 2014
Despite obvious links, the relationship between transport and energy remains generally understudied among historians of transport. By briefly examining the ways in which energy resources and energy flows have intersected with transport patterns, transport costs, and transport technology, this thought piece makes a case for bringing considerations of ...

In-Situ Measurement of Fuel Flow in Fuel Cell Using Flexible Micro Flow Sensors
International Journal of Green Energy, 2012Fuel cells are a highly promising alternative source of electrical power. However, this renewable energy source has various problems yet unsolved, such as the difficulty in determining fuel flow rate inside fuel cells. The product of the chemical reaction in a fuel cell is water, which reduces the working efficiency of a fuel cell and adversely affects

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1984
<div class="htmlview paragraph">The formation of wax crystals in diesel fuels during winter use is a well known phenomenon. The industry has created specifications to insure satisfactory diesel operation under winter conditions by lowering the cloud point with kerosene dilutions or equipment modifications.
