Interpolated Plane Wave Imaging: IPWI
This paper offers a solution to the problems caused by sub-Nyquist spatial sampling in ultrasound image generation, which can result in aliasing and grating lobes in Full Matrix Capture (FMC) and Plane Wave Imaging (PWI). Neglecting the spatial sampling

The proton-proton weak capture in chiral effective field theory
The astrophysical S-factor for proton-proton weak capture is calculated in chiral effective field theory over the center-of-mass relative-energy range 0--100 keV.

The present work proposes a new model to capture high heterogeneity of single phase flow in naturally fractured vuggy reservoirs. The model considers a three porous media reservoir; namely, fractured system, vugular system and matrix; the case of an ...

Towards the solution of the $C_{P}/C_{A}$ anomaly in shell-model calculations of muon capture [PDF]
Recently many authors have performed shell-model calculations of nuclear matrix elements determining the rates of the ordinary muon capture in light nuclei.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Anisotropy Corrected FMC/TFM Based Phased Array Ultrasonic Imaging in an Austenitic Buttering Layer
For the narrow gap dissimilar weld between a ferritic steel and a nickel base superalloy, a nickel base alloy buttering layer is deposited on the ferritic steel side as an intermediate layer. The bonding between the buttering layer and the ferritic steel

Landau Fermi Liquid Picture of Spin Density Functional Theory: Strutinsky Approach to Quantum Dots
We analyze the ground state energy and spin of quantum dots obtained from spin density functional theory (SDFT) calculations. First, we introduce a Strutinsky-type approximation, in which quantum interference is treated as a correction to a smooth Thomas-

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Leptogenesis after Chaotic Sneutrino Inflation and the Supersymmetry Breaking Scale
We discuss resonant leptogenesis arising from the decays of two nearly-degenerate right-handed neutrinos, identified as the inflaton and stabiliser superfields in a model of chaotic sneutrino inflation.
