Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Efficient by Precision Algorithms for Approximating Functions from Some Classes by Fourier Series
Introduction. The problem of approximation can be considered as the basis of computational methods, namely, the approximation of individual functions or classes of functions by functions that are in some sense simpler than the functions being ...

Approximation by Step Functions [PDF]
i.e., of approximating a given matrix (aik) by a matrix of the particular type (Xi+yk), has proved to be very efficient. It is the "leveling process" [1; 2; 3] which roughly speaking for problem (1) consists in an alternatively repeated minimizing within the sets Ai (in problem (2) the rows and columns).

Spacetime: function and approximation
AbstractSeveral approaches to quantum gravity (QG) signal the loss of spacetime at some level. According to spacetime functionalism, spacetime is functionally realised by a more fundamental structure. According to one version of spacetime functionalism, the spacetime role is specified by Ramsifying general relativity (GR).

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Optimal with Respect to Accuracy Recovery of Some Classes Functions by Fourier Series
Introduction. Function approximation (approximation or restoration) is widely used in data analysis, model building, and forecasting. The goal of function approximation is to find the function that best approximates the original function.

DISCRETE LEAST SQUARES APPROXIMATION OF PIECEWISE-LINEAR FUNCTIONS BY TRIGONOMETRIC POLYNOMIALS
Let N be a natural number greater than 1. Select N uniformly distributed points t_k = 2πk/N (0 ≤ k ≤ N − 1) on [0, 2π]. Denote by L_{n,N} (f) = L_{n,N} (f, x) (1 ≤ n ≤ N/2) the trigonometric polynomial of order n possessing the least quadratic deviation ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Measure Fields for Function Approximation
The computation of a piecewise smooth function that approximates a finite set of data points may be decomposed into two decoupled tasks: first, the computation of the locally smooth models, and hence, the segmentation of the data into classes that ...
