Insights into pegRNA design from editing of the cardiomyopathy‐associated phospholamban R14del mutation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how prime editing guide RNA (pegRNA) secondary structure and reverse transcriptase template length affect prime editing efficiency in correcting the phospholamban R14del cardiomyopathy‐associated mutation. Insights support the design of structurally optimized enhanced pegRNAs for precise gene therapy.

MethylToSNP: identifying SNPs in Illumina DNA methylation array data

open access: yesEpigenetics & Chromatin, 2019
Background Current array-based methods for the measurement of DNA methylation rely on the process of sodium bisulfite conversion to differentiate between methylated and unmethylated cytosine bases in DNA.

Functional Analysis

open access: yes, 2021
This book is based on notes compiled over the many years I have been teaching the course "Applied Functional Analysis" in the first year of the Master programme at Delft University of Technology, for students with previous exposure to the essentials of Real Analysis and the theory of Lebesgue integration.

Single‐cell insights into the role of T cells in B‐cell malignancies

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Single‐cell technologies have transformed our understanding of T cell–tumor cell interactions in B‐cell malignancies, revealing new T‐cell subsets, functional states, and immune evasion mechanisms. This Review synthesizes these findings, highlighting the roles of T cells in pathogenesis, progression, and therapy response, and underscoring their ...

Automatic detection of human gait events: a simple but versatile 3D algorithm

open access: yesJournal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation
Background Detecting Foot Strike and Foot Off events in human gait, which is cyclic yet variable, consistently requires expert correction. This subjective correction can reduce spatiotemporal parameters, joint kinematic and kinetic accuracy, regardless ...

On the Standardization of the Functional Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesBehavior Analysis in Practice, 2019
The functional analysis procedures described in the seminal Iwata et al. (1982/1994) study are prominent in the applied behavior analytic literature, having been replicated hundreds of times over the past 30 years (Beavers, Iwata, & Lerman, 2013; Hanley, McCord, Iwata, 2003).

Functional analysis and additive arithmetic functions [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the American Mathematical Society, 1987
This is an expository paper, in which the author discusses some fundamental inequalities for additive arithmetic functions from a functional-analytic point of view, interpreting these inequalities as bounds for the norms of certain operators between finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces.

Intron‐oriented HTLV‐1 integration in an adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma cell line sustains expression of intact ift81 mRNA

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In the adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) cell line ED, the human T‐cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV‐1) provirus was integrated into the intron of the ift81 gene in the antisense orientation. Despite this integration, both the intact ift81 and the viral oncogene hbz were simultaneously expressed, likely due to the functional insufficiency of viral ...
