Semandaq: a data quality system based on conditional functional dependencies [PDF]
We present SEMANDAQ, a prototype system for improving the quality of relational data. Based on the recently proposed conditional functional dependencies (CFDs), it detects and repairs errors and inconsistencies that emerge as violations of these ...

Analysis of Typed Inclusion Dependencies with Null Values
Null values have become an urgent problem since the creation of the relational data model. The impact of the uncertainty affects all types of dependencies used in the design and operation of the database.

Adding Path-Functional Dependencies to the Guarded Two-Variable Fragment with Counting [PDF]
The satisfiability and finite satisfiability problems for the two-variable guarded fragment of first-order logic with counting quantifiers, a database, and path-functional dependencies are both ExpTime-complete.

ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Monoidal functional dependencies
We present a complete logic for reasoning with functional dependencies (FDs) with semantics defined over classes of commutative integral partially ordered monoids and complete residuated lattices. The dependencies allow us to express stronger relationships between attribute values than the ordinary FDs. In our setting, the dependencies not only express

Health Literacy, Self‐Efficacy and Knowledge of Sickle Cell Disease Among Caregivers
ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a hereditary blood disorder in which abnormal haemoglobin leads to severe anaemia, painful crises and organ failure. Caregivers’ health literacy (HL) – their ability to assess, understand and apply information, and interact with healthcare professionals – is crucial for managing children with SCD, yet ...

A Uniform Dependency Language for Improving Data Quality [PDF]
A variety of dependency formalisms have been studied for improving data quality. To treat these dependencies in a uniform framework, we propose a simple language, Quality Improving Dependencies (QIDs).

Early Impact of Childhood Opportunity on Neurocognitive Outcomes in Sickle Cell Disease
ABSTRACT Introduction Neurocognitive impairment is a well‐recognized complication of sickle cell disease (SCD) that begins early in childhood and persists across development. While cerebrovascular injury contributes substantially to risk, neurocognitive deficits are also observed in children without overt or silent cerebral infarctions, suggesting ...
