Automatic simulation method for functional equivalence check

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2019
In the mixed-signal chip, behavioral model is widely used to describe the behavior of the analog/mixed-signal blocks in Verilog/Systemverilog/VHDL so as to facilitate the fullchip netlisting for the fullchip Verilog simulation. In order to ensure correct,

Equivalent choice functions and stable mechanisms [PDF]

open access: yesGames and Economic Behavior, 2018
We study conditions for the existence of stable and group-strategy-proof mechanisms in a many-to-one matching model with contracts if students' preferences are monotone in contract terms. We show that "equivalence", properly defined, to a choice profile under which contracts are substitutes and the law of aggregate holds is a necessary and sufficient ...

Somatostatin receptor 4 (SSTR4) is a tumor suppressor in cutaneous and head & neck squamous cell carcinomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

Rendering the German modal particle denn in Turkish: a translation-oriented analysis of literary texts

open access: yesFrontiers in Language Sciences
IntroductionGerman modal particles pose a major challenge for translation because their meanings are primarily discourse-pragmatic, interactional, and context-dependent rather than lexical or propositional.

Partial FAK suppression promotes tumor growth, an effect reversed by macrophage p110δ PI3K inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Partial inhibition of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) can paradoxically promote tumor growth, rather than simply producing a weaker antitumor effect than that observed with strong FAK suppression. In breast cancer and melanoma models, targeting p110δ PI3K, particularly in macrophages, counteracted these tumor‐promoting effects, highlighting the importance ...

Extracellular vesicle lipidomics liquid biopsy reveals systemic and tumor microenvironment metabolic reprogramming in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicle (EV) lipidomic profiling of plasma and ascites from patients with high‐grade serous ovarian cancer and of ovarian cancer cell lines reveals enrichment of triglycerides (TGs), diacylglycerols (DGs), phosphatidylcholine (PCs), sphingomyelins (SMs), reflecting tumor metabolic reprogramming.

Syntaxe et paradigme(s) : outre les relations de dépendance, les relations d’équivalence

open access: yesSignata, 2017
This article intends to examine, in the theoretical framework of functional linguistics, syntactic ‘equivalence’ relationships, as opposed to the far more described syntactic dependency relationships, in the light of paradigmatic piles as defined in the ...

A role for eIF5A in translational control of stress‐inducible proteins in multiple myeloma cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of eIF5A rewires thapsigargin‐mediated endoplasmic reticulum stress responses in multiple myeloma cells by selective translation of mRNA transcripts, consequently dampening thapsigargin‐induced unfolded protein response (UPR) activation and shifting the balance from induction of apoptosis toward cell survival and proliferation.

On the use of observation equivalence in synthesis abstraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In a previous paper we introduced the notion of synthesis abstraction, which allows efficient compositional synthesis of maximally permissive supervisors for large-scale systems of composed finite-state automata.
