RNAi silencing of TcALS accelerates larva‐to‐pupa metamorphosis in Tribolium castaneum. Abstract Insect metamorphosis is an evolutionary adaptation precisely regulated by nutritional and hormonal cues. The red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum, a major stored‐product pest, serves as an excellent model for studying this process.

Intra‐ and Interspecific Effects on Spatio‐Temporal Behavior of Common Commensal Rodent Species

This study revealed major findings on spatio‐temporal behavior of commensal rodents on a pig farm showing the influence of interspecific dominance on movement behavior and the resulting species‐specific ecological adaptations. Additionally, rodents tend to stay in their home ranges and migration to other stable buildings is only rare.

Offspring Defensive Investment Covaries With Brood Value in a Female Cobweb Spider

We performed a thorough field investigation on the web architectures of Campanicola campanulata to research its cobweb architecture variation under the condition of whether it carried egg sacs, in order to test the theory of its brood value. Our results demonstrate that retreat construction in female cobweb spiders is modulated by brood value.
