Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Longitudinal Functional Safety Analysis and Algorithm Design of Traffic Jam Pilot

open access: yesIEEE Access
In recent years, autonomous driving technology has been developing rapidly, but there is still a certain gap from commercial production, in which the safety issue is one of the important factors. In the working of most companies and colleges, the Traffic

Content and Language Integrated Learning – functional safety study programme in English [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces, 2018
Safety engineering has become a challenging and rewarding career field in the present day age of rapid technological and scientific advances. But how to raise student’s awareness regarding the legal and regulatory requirements introduced by safety ...

Asymptotically free scalar curvature-ghost coupling in Quantum Einstein Gravity

open access: yes, 2009
We consider the asymptotic-safety scenario for quantum gravity which constructs a non-perturbatively renormalisable quantum gravity theory with the help of the functional renormalisation group.

Hematopoietic (stem) cells—The elixir of life?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The aging of HSCs (hematopoietic stem cells) and the blood system leads to the decline of other organs. Rejuvenating aged HSCs improves the function of the blood system, slowing the aging of the heart, kidney, brain, and liver, and the occurrence of age‐related diseases.

Computer Safety and Functional Safety

open access: yesIEICE ESS Fundamentals Review, 2010

Development and Performance Evaluation of a Connected Vehicle Application Development Platform (CVDeP) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Connected vehicle (CV) application developers need a development platform to build, test and debug real-world CV applications, such as safety, mobility, and environmental applications, in edge-centric cyber-physical systems.

The Gravitational Two-Loop Counterterm is Asymptotically Safe [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Weinberg's asymptotic safety scenario provides an elegant mechanism to construct a quantum theory of gravity within the framework of quantum field theory based on a non-Gau{\ss}ian fixed point of the renormalization group flow.

A Novel Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment Approach for Road Vehicle Functional Safety through Integrating STPA with FMEA

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
ISO26262: 2018 is an international functional safety standard for electrical and/or electronic (E/E) systems within road vehicles. It provides appropriate safety requirements for road vehicles to avoid unreasonable residual risk according to automotive ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
