Modeling of vibration for functionally graded beams
In this study, a vibration problem of Euler-Bernoulli beam manufactured with Functionally Graded Material (FGM), which is modelled by fourth-order partial differential equations with variable coefficients, is examined by using the Adomian Decomposition ...

Nonlinear Parametric Dynamics of Bidirectional Functionally Graded Beams
In this paper, the parametric dynamics of bidirectional functionally graded (BDFG) beams subjected to a time-dependent axial force are studied. The material properties of beam which vary along both thickness and axial directions follow the power law, and

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

Simplified analytical model for tapered sandwich beams using variable stiffness materials [PDF]
A simplified layer-wise sandwich beam model to capture the effects of a combination of geometric taper and variable stiffness of the core on the static response of a sandwich beam is developed. In the present model, the face sheets are assumed to behave

EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Electric assumptions for piezoelectric laminate analysis [PDF]
In computational analysis of piezoelectric laminates which may comprise piezoelectric and non-piezoelectric plies, the transverse electric field is often assumed to be piecewise constant along the transverse direction.

A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.
