Monomethylated and unmethylated FUS exhibit increased binding to Transportin and distinguish FTLD-FUS from ALS-FUS [PDF]

open access: yesActa Neuropathologica, 2016
Deposition of the nuclear DNA/RNA-binding protein Fused in sarcoma (FUS) in cytosolic inclusions is a common hallmark of some cases of frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD-FUS) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS-FUS). Whether both diseases also share common pathological mechanisms is currently unclear.

Transportin 1 accumulates specifically with FET proteins but no other transportin cargos in FTLD-FUS and is absent in FUS inclusions in ALS with FUS mutations [PDF]

open access: yesActa Neuropathologica, 2012
Accumulation of the DNA/RNA binding protein fused in sarcoma (FUS) as inclusions in neurons and glia is the pathological hallmark of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with mutations in FUS (ALS-FUS) as well as in several subtypes of frontotemporal ...

FUS-Net: U-Net-Based FUS Interference Filtering

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2022
Imaging applications tailored towards ultrasound-based treatment, such as high intensity focused ultrasound (FUS), where higher power ultrasound generates a radiation force for ultrasound elasticity imaging or therapeutics/theranostics, are affected by interference from FUS. The artifact becomes more pronounced with intensity and power.

FU-Fighters 2000

2001
Our F180 team, the FU-Fighters, participated for the second time at the RoboCup Competition. Our main design goal for RoboCup’2000 was to build a heterogeneous team of robots with different shapes and characteristics, and to use new kicking devices. Different sets of robots can be selected to adapt to the strategies of other teams.
