Circular dichroism of fusarium lipoxygenase from Fusarium oxysporum
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1978Summary In the Soret region, a large negative trough at 427.5 nm of the oxidized Fusarium lipoxygenase between large positive peaks at 400 nm and 490 nm was observed. But the CD spectrum of the reduced enzyme was considerably changed and the many complex peaks with positive amplitudes were observed.

Fusarium and Estrogenism in Swine
Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 1973SUMMARY The fungus, Fusarium roseum (Gibberella zeae), and other closely related organisms growing on corn and other feeds produce a potent estrogenic substance called F-2 or zearalenone. Affected swine have characteristic sexual changes including tumefaction of the vulva, enlargement of the mammary glands, and hyperplasia of the uterus.

Fusarium infections of the skin
Current Opinion in Infectious Diseases, 2000Fusarium species are ubiquitous and may be found in the soil, air and on plants. Fusarium species can cause mycotoxicosis in humans following ingestion of food that has been colonized by the fungal organism. In humans, Fusarium species can also cause disease that is localized, focally invasive or disseminated.

Fusarium oxysporum and the Fusarium Wilt Syndrome
Annual Review of Phytopathology, 2017The Fusarium oxysporum species complex (FOSC) comprises a multitude of strains that cause vascular wilt diseases of economically important crops throughout the world. Although sexual reproduction is unknown in the FOSC, horizontal gene transfer may contribute to the observed diversity in pathogenic strains. Development of disease in a susceptible crop
