Fuzzy entropy clustering

open access: yesNinth IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems. FUZZ- IEEE 2000 (Cat. No.00CH37063), 2002
The well-known generalisation of hard c-means (HCM) clustering is fuzzy c-means (FCM) clustering where a weight exponent on each fuzzy membership is introduced as the degree of fuzziness. An alternative generalisation of HCM clustering is proposed in this paper.

ON ENTROPY OF FUZZY SETS

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2008
In this paper we deal with the entropy of fuzzy sets. We first review several defined entropies of fuzzy sets and then propose a new one. Some comparisons are made with some existing entropies to show the effectiveness of the proposed one.

Entropy of fuzzy events

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1997
The authors consider a generalization of the Shannon entropy of a random variable to some kinds of fuzzy random variables. They relate this generalized Shannon entropy to some other types of measures of uncertainty and information.

On fuzzy entropy and topological entropy of fuzzy extensions of dynamical systems

Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2017
The concept of degrees of fuzziness due to \textit{A. De Luca} and \textit{S. Termini} [Inf. Control 20, 301--312 (1972; Zbl 0239.94028)] and fuzzy topological entropies and their relationships are studied. Such concepts are necessary for a proper understanding of fuzzy systems generated from crisp discrete dynamical systems.

Fuzzy entropy on intuitionistic fuzzy sets

International Journal of Intelligent Systems, 2006
In this article we exploit the concept of probability for defining the fuzzy entropy of intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs). We then propose two families of entropy measures for IFSs and also construct the axiom definition and properties. Two definitions of entropy for IFSs proposed by Burillo and Bustince in 1996 and Szmidt and Kacprzyk in 2001 are used.
