Fuzzy Partition Models for Fitting a Set of Partitions
Methodology is described for fitting a fuzzy consensus partition to a set of partitions of the same set of objects. Three models defining median partitions are described: two of them are obtained from a least-squares fit of a set of membership functions, and the third (proposed by Pittau and Vichi) is acquired from a least-squares fit of a set of joint

Fuzzy, I-fuzzy, and H-fuzzy partitions to describe clusters
2016 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE), 2016In this paper we discuss how three types of fuzzy partitions can be used to describe the results of three types of cluster structures. Standard fuzzy partitions are suitable for centroid based clusters, and I-fuzzy partitions for clusters represented by segments or lines (e.g., c-varieties). In this paper, we introduce hesitant fuzzy partitions.

The fuzziness of fuzzy partitions
Pattern Recognition Letters, 1991Abstract In this work a method to make an easier pattern classification when the use of a classical membership function doesn't give satisfactory results due to the similarity between prototypes, is developed. A new formulation of the membership function itself is proposed for extreme cases of indistinguishability.

Fuzzy hypergraph and fuzzy partition
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1995In this paper, the concept of hypergraph is extended to the fuzzy hypergraph. In the fuzzy hypergraph, the concepts of /spl alpha/-cut hypergraph, strength of edge and dual fuzzy hypergraph are developed. It is shown that the fuzzy hypergraph and /spl alpha/-cut hypergraph are useful to represent a fuzzy partition.

Coarsening of fuzzy partitions
2015 IEEE 13th International Symposium on Intelligent Systems and Informatics (SISY), 2015A vague partition U of a finite universal set X into c clusters, where each cluster is described by a fuzzy set on X, is considered. The concept of p-level sets [3] of fuzzy sets is extended to p-level matrices of fuzzy partitions. A method of gradual coarsening of U based on a sequence of p-level matrices derived from the membership grades of clusters

Our system uses fuzzy logic to bipartition cells in VLSI circuits. The system uses fuzzy logic principles to generate net and cell indices and a bottom-up clustering algorithm to produce the two-way partition. We tested our algorithm on eleven ISCAS89 benchmark circuits and compare its performance with that of other implementations.
