Metric properties of fuzzy partitions
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1996Fuzzy partitions can be represented as weighted sums of classical partitions. \textit{J. C. Bezdek} and \textit{J. D. Harris} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 67, 490-512 (1979; Zbl 0411.68056)] described a ``minimax'' decomposition of any fuzzy partition into such a weighted sum claiming to get shortest sums in this way. The author disproves this claim.

Degree of Similarity in Fuzzy Partition
2002In this paper, we discuss preciseness of data in terms of obtaining degree of similarity in which fuzzy set can be used as an alternative to represent imprecise data. Degree of similarity between two imprecise data represented in two fuzzy sets is approximately determined by using fuzzy conditional probability relation.

Fuzzy congruences and compatible fuzzy partitions
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1989A natural concept of universal fuzzy algebra is introduced and it is proved that for a fuzzy congruence or a fuzzy partition to be compatible with a fuzzy universal algebra it is necessary and sufficient that level- wise compatibility is to be achieved.

Applying fuzzy logic to codesign partitioning
IEEE Micro, 1997We propose a tool that will allow designers using the codesign approach to partially automate the development of embedded systems. The framework takes advantage of tools already available on the market for VLSI CAD as well as soft computing techniques.

Fuzzy Sets and Fuzzy Partitions
1993In this paper some connections between a characterization of fuzzy sets and a characterization of fuzzy partitions are explored. We extend the notion of α-level set and sharpness of fuzzy sets to fuzzy partitions. Then we define α-level equivalence and relation of sharpness on the set of all fuzzy partitions of a finite set of objects into k clusters ...

Interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph and fuzzy partition
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 1997This paper extends the work of H. Lee-Kwang and L.M. Lee (1995) to present the concept of the interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph. In the interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph, the concepts of the dual interval-valued fuzzy hypergraph, the crisp-valued alpha-cut hypergraph, and the interval-valued [alpha(1),alpha(2 )]-cut at beta level hypergraph are developed,

Fuzzy partitioning with FID3.1
18th International Conference of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society - NAFIPS (Cat. No.99TH8397), 2003FID3.1 builds fuzzy decision trees, with a range of choices for fuzzy operators and inferences. Various FID algorithms are being widely used for dealing with numeric and/or imprecise data, for fuzzy classification or for generating fuzzy rules. FID 3.0 adds a number of new features, the most important being a fuzzy partitioning mechanism construction ...
