FWM-to-OPA Transition and Signal Power Increase in FWM
CLEO 2023, 2023We examined the transition from four-wave mixing to parametric amplification. The signal intensity can be increased with smaller noise in four-wave mixing region than in optical parametric amplification.

Experimental Comparison of Fiber Nonlinearity Mitigation: Intra-modal FWM versus Inter-modal FWM
Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2020, 2020We experimentally compare fiber nonlinearity mitigation by optical phase conjugation based on either intra- or inter-modal four-wave mixing. When adjusted for same conversion efficiency, both realizations achieve similar performance in 800-km dispersion-managed single-mode fiber link.

FWM Noise Reduction in Bursty Metro Transmission
Optical Fiber Communication Conference and International Conference on Quantum Information, 2001We analyze the occurrence of FWM. noise in bursty metro network transmission of Ethernet packets directly on the WDM layer. We obtain more than 5 dB reduction in FWM noise for traffic loads less than 0.7 both for uniform and self-similar traffic.
