Single‐Cell Computational Frameworks for Quantifying BET Bromodomain Inhibitor Resistance and Screening Re‐Sensitizer Drugs in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 29, 22 May 2026.
To combat BET inhibitor resistance in triple‐negative breast cancer, we developed two single‐cell computational frameworks. FR20 quantifies resistance by integrating ferroptosis‐related gene signatures, while D‐FR20 screens for potential re‐sensitizers.

The First Case of Linear Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus Following Covid‐19 Vaccination: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
Clinical manifestation of LCDLE characterized by lesions following a progressive distal pattern along the lateral arm, forearm, and dorsal hand. ABSTRACT Linear cutaneous discoid lupus erythematosus (LCDLE) is a rare presentation of lupus erythematosus, more frequently observed in children and young adults.

COMPUTATIONAL ANALYSIS OF DIMER G6PD STRUCTURE TO ELUCIDATE PATHOGENICITY OF G6PD VARIANTS

open access: yesBioMedicine
An inherent genetic enzyme disorder in humans, known as glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, arises due to specific mutations. While the prevailing approach for investigating G6PD variants involves biochemical analysis, the intricate structural details remain limited, impeding a comprehensive understanding of how different G6PD variants

Metabolic Reprogramming Analysis of Wheat Response to Low Temperature Stress Under Nitrogen Supply

open access: yesFood and Energy Security, Volume 15, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Low temperature stress triggers a defense network that maintains growth at the expense of inhibiting photosynthesis and chlorophyll synthesis. Temperature recovery effectively repairs low temperature‐induced damage and enhances stress resistance, while nitrogen supply can further augment these protective processes to strengthen cold tolerance ...

G6PD deficiency and malaria selection [PDF]

open access: yesHeredity, 2011
In his valuable review on genetics of malaria resistance, Hedrick (2011) tackles the interesting issue of the protection against Plasmodium falciparum afforded by G6PD deficiency. Specifically, he quotes data from a study (Ruwende et al., 1995) conducted in Gambia and in Kenya, from which it was claimed that the degree of protection was similar in ...

Hederagenin Promotes Sorafenib Sensitivity in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Through Suppressing SLC7A11 Expression and Inducing Ferroptosis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study combining network pharmacology with molecular docking further confirmed via in vitro experiments that HED potentiates the anti‐tumor effect of sorafenib in HCC cells through the downregulation of SLC7A11 expression and the induction of ferroptosis.

Anemia Among Hospitalized Children in a Ghanaian Pediatric Emergency Unit: A Prospective Observational Study of Prevalence, Associated Factors, and Hematologic Patterns

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Anemia remains a major contributor to pediatric morbidity and mortality in sub‐Saharan Africa, yet contemporary data from tertiary pediatric emergency settings are limited, particularly among children older than 5 years. This study assessed the prevalence, factors associated with anemia, hematological characteristics, and ...

The impact of low‐dose aspirin on hemoglobin levels in pregnancy: A secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial for prevention of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 173, Issue 2, Page 982-988, May 2026.
Abstract Objectives This study evaluates the association of low‐dose aspirin (LDA) with hemoglobin (Hb) levels during pregnancy and explores how changes in Hb levels relate to hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP). Methods This secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial comprised 249 pregnant women recruited from a regional hospital in ...
