Field Survey of Glycyrrhiza Plants in Central Asia (4). Characterization of G. glabra and G. bucharica Collected in Tajikistan.

open access: yesBiological & pharmaceutical bulletin, 2016
The characteristics of 2 Glycyrrhiza plants, G. glabra and G. bucharica (=Meristotropis bucharica), were investigated in Tajikistan. The glycyrrhizin content in the underground parts of G. glabra varied from 2.56 to 9.29% of the dry weight, and the content of glabridin, a species-specific flavonoid of G.

Field Survey of Glycyrrhiza Plants in Central Asia (3). Chemical Characterization of G. glabra Collected in Uzbekistan

open access: yesChemical and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, 2003
The chemical characteristics of Glycyrrhiza glabra L. were investigated at a habitat in Uzbekistan. HPLC analysis of the underground parts indicated that glycyrrhizin contents varied from 3.3 to 6.1% of dry weight, and that glabridin, a species-specific flavonoid for G. glabra, was detected in all underground samples (0.08-0.35% of dry weight).

Flavonoid variation in the leaves of Glycyrrhiza glabra

open access: yes, 1996
Genistein, pinocembrin, prunetin, 6-prenylnaringenin, licoflavanone and wighteone were isolated from the leaves of Glycyrrhiza glabra collected on the west coast of Anatolia, whereas lupiwighteone was found only in the leaves of G.

Evidence for Chemopreventive and Resilience Activity of Licorice: Glycyrrhiza Glabra and G. Inflata Extracts Modulate Estrogen Metabolism in ACI Rats [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Prevention Research, 2018
Abstract Women are increasingly using botanical dietary supplements (BDS) to reduce menopausal hot flashes. Although licorice (Glycyrrhiza sp.) is one of the frequently used ingredients in BDS, the exact plant species is often not identified.

Identification of Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 and α-Amylase Inhibitors from Melicope glabra (Blume) T. G. Hartley (Rutaceae) Using Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry, In Vitro and In Silico Methods [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
The present study investigated the antidiabetic properties of the extracts and fractions from leaves and stem bark of M. glabra based on dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) and α-Amylase inhibitory activity assays. The chloroform extract of the leaves was found to be most active towards inhibition of DPP-4 and α-Amylase with IC50 of 169.40 μg/mL and 303.64 ...
