GGE Bi Plot Analysis of Genotype X Environment Interaction and Grain Yield Stability of Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Genotypes in Ethiopia

open access: yes, 2017
There is limitation of information on G x EI of bread wheat genotypes in Ethiopia. The study cried out with objectives to estimate Genotype x Environment interaction and stability of bread wheat genotypes in Ethiopia.

Orthorhombic low-temperature superstructures in YBa2Cu3O6+x

open access: yes, 2001
The emergence of the cell-doubled (OII) and both cell-tripled (OIII and OIII*) phases of YBa2Cu3O6+x are observed on oxygen-chain-equalized and order-stabilized pair samples at an extended range of oxygen concentrations (0 ...

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Farmers' social identity and crop genetic diversity. The G x E x S model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A better knowledge of factors organizing crop genetic diversity in situ increases the efficiency of diversity analyses and conservation strategies, and requires collaboration between social and biological disciplines.

Genotype x Environment Interaction and Yield Stability of Maize

open access: yes, 2008
Maize cultivars vary in their response to variable environmental conditions. Twenty maize cultivars were tested at nine locations in Ethiopia (1100 - 2240 masl) in randomized complete block design with three replications for two years to study the nature

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Genotype by environment (G x E) interaction in cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) in Uganda

open access: yes, 2018
Genotype (G) by environment (E) interaction (GEI) in cassava was studied using 10 genotypes in a multilocational trial in Uganda at different altitudes for 2 years.
