Gale Duality and the Neighborliness of Random Polytopes. II
We have obtain of some distribution-independent results on the k-neighborliness of random polytopes. They confirm the well-known Gale conjecture for the general case.

The present paper is devoted to discussing Gale duality from the Z-linear algebraic point of view. This allows us to isolate the class of Q-factorial complete toric varieties whose class group is torsion free, here called poly weighted spaces (PWS), as an interesting generalization of weighted projective spaces (WPS).

Gale duality, decoupling, parameter homotopies, and monodromy [PDF]
Numerical Algebraic Geometry (NAG) has recently seen significantly increased application among scientists and mathematicians as a tool that can be used to solve nonlinear systems of equations, particularly polynomial systems. With the many recent advances in the field, we can now routinely solve problems that could not have been solved even 10 years ...

Infinite-Dimensional Fisher Markets: Equilibrium, Duality and Optimization
This paper considers a linear Fisher market with n buyers and a continuum of items. In order to compute market equilibria, we introduce (infinite-dimensional) convex programs over Banach spaces, thereby generalizing the Eisenberg-Gale convex program and ...

On the duality gap and Gale's example in conic linear programming
The aim of this paper is to revisit some duality results in conic linear programming and to answer an open problem related to the duality gap function for Gale's example.

A rotational energy harvesting device that successfully reconciles high power density with mechanical durability through a hybrid sliding‐and‐bouncing kinematic mechanism is reported. The success reported in our paper includes addressing a dilemma where enhanced electrical output comes at the cost of increased friction and wear, limiting the practical ...

ABSTRACT The penetration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in farming communities is increasing the use of smartphone‐based instant messaging apps. Despite this, the reasons behind participation and the impact on farm productivity in developing countries remain unexplored.

Hypertoric 2-categories O and symplectic duality
We define 2-categories of microlocal perverse (resp. coherent) sheaves of categories on the skeleton of a hypertoric variety and show that the generators of these 2-categories lift the projectives (resp. simples) in hypertoric category $\mathcal{O}$.

A neuro‐behavioural model of neophobia
ABSTRACT Fear can be defined as the internal neurological state that releases a repertoire of behaviours an animal performs to reduce the effect of an aversive factor. Neophobia, the fear of novelty, is a fundamental behavioural trait observed across a wide range of species from arthropods to humans.

Climate Change Risk and Financial Stability: Implications for European Banking Institutions
ABSTRACT This study examines whether climate change risk weakens banking‐system stability in the European Union and assesses how renewable energy adoption and energy‐related taxation moderate this relationship. Using panel data for 27 EU countries from 2012 to 2022 and applying fixed‐effects OLS, two‐stage least squares (2SLS), and robust generalized ...
