My own thinking was greatly influenced by welfare economics, activity analysis (especially Koopmans’ formulation), the Hayek-Mises-Lange debate, the team theory of Jacob Marschak and Roy Radner, and, very importantly, the collaborations with Kenneth Arrow, Thomas Marschak, and Stanley Reiter.
